CE VENICE COMMISSION TO HOLD SEMINAR IN BAKU

A seminar organized by the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe (CE) for representatives of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan is to be held in Baku between September 8 and 10, representation of CE in Baku reports.

Early September, an expert group of the CE Venice Commission, consisting of famous international experts in the field of electoral law is to arrive in Baku to take part in the seminar.

Experts of the Council of Europe will inform the participants of the seminar with international experience in the field of elections.

It should be reminded that leaders of the CE Venice Commission positively appraised the new Election Code of Azerbaijan, saying it “meets democratic procedures and legal norms”.
