COMMUNICATION EXHIBITION OPENED IN BAKU
Minister of Communications of the Azerbaijan Republic Nadir Ahmadov speaking at the opening ceremony stressed that the exhibition has a great importance for enlightenment of the population of the Republic in the field of telecommunications and computer technology, in the establishment of cooperation. President of Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce and Industry Suleyman Tatliyev and Director of the Development Bureau of the International Telecommunications Union under the UN Hamadan Ture in their speeches expressed their confidence in the integration of Azerbaijan with its high technologies to the world family of telecommunications, noting that the conducted exhibition is a vivid example for it.
The list of international companies, taking part in the exhibition became larger. This fact can be considered as an interest of leading companies, functioning in the field of information and communication technologies, to the development of telecommunications in Azerbaijan.
The exhibition organized by the British exhibition company ITE QROUP Pic and its exclusive partner in the Caucasus Iteca Caspian LTD Company, is held under the support of the Ministry of Communications of the Azerbaijan Republic, National Strategic Development Program of Information and Communication Technologies, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic and “Aztelecom” company. For the first time the exhibition received official support of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU). ITU, being the most authoritative organization in this field, unites 189 ministries, including Ministry of Communications of Azerbaijan and about 300 large telecommunication companies. Among them, along with the world famous operators British Telekom, Vodafone, China Telekom, there are equipment producers - Alcatel, Nokia and Siemens.
Seminars where useful information on projects, achievements, and contribution of the companies-producers in the field of telecommunications can be obtained will also be organized in the frameworks of the exhibition.
