CONFERENCE RELATED TO ISLAM HELD
Eminent scientists-Islam researchers, head of the leading religious confessions, representatives of the international organizations and foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the republic, as well as experts from several countries attended the Forum, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Baku reports.
The 2004 year declared by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov the year of kindness and mercy was a logic continuation of the state strategy on strengthening of the international consent, revival of spiritual and cultural historical values.
Proposals on development of the inter-confessional dialogue and bringing up the culture of tolerance under terms of up-to-date secular state were worked out in the course of conference.
Presentation of multimedia album “Development of Sufism in the Central Asia” was also held in the frame of conference. Decision on publication of the collection of reports for those, who keen on modern actual problems, was also adopted in the course of conference.
