Courses for foreign diplomats wrap up at Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy
Baku, July 30 (AZERTAC). Ten-day courses for diplomats from Asian and African countries have ended at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA).
Addressing the closing ceremony, Azerbaijani deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and rector of ADA Hafiz Pashayev said that diplomats were informed on Azerbaijan`s policy, economic achievements, as well as culture and history.
Nepal diplomat Sharma Pokahrel praised the courses, saying they were very well organized.
The courses, entitled “The study of Caspian region countries”, brought together 14 diplomats from Haiti, Mali, Samoa, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal, Myanmar, Malaysia and other countries.
Representatives of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ADA, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), the Central Bank and the Azerbaijan Export and Investments Promotion Foundation (AzPROMo) delivered lectures for participants during the courses. Lectures focused on a wide range of issues, including the history of the Caspian region, legal status of the Caspian Sea, geopolitics of the region, investment opportunities and conflict resolution.
The participants also visited Sangachal terminal, Guba, Gobustan, Bibiheybat Mosque and other cultural spots of the country.
