Day of Uzeir`s museum at Museum of Musical Culture

Baku, September 16 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan Museum of Musical Culture hosted a Day of Uzeir Hajibeyli`s music. The event featured exposition of important documents related to the student`s years of the great Azerbaijani composer.

The event also featured presentation of Azeri folk CD-s donated by the ministry of culture and tourism of Azerbaijan to the Museum.

The participants of the event viewed a slide show designed for the 100th anniversary of “O olmasin bu olsun” musical comedy and listened to the arias from Hajibeyli`s operas .

Uzeir Hajibeyli was an Azerbaijani composer, conductor, publicist, playwright, teacher, translator, and social figure. He is recognized as the father of Azerbaijani classical music and opera. He composed music for the national anthem of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. He is the first Muslim author of an opera.
