Division of Motorola to happen in January, 2011

Baku, December 1 (AZERTAC). Motorola Corporation has today announced that the earlier announced separation into two independent business units will take place on January 4, 2011. According to the plans of the corporation, Motorola will produce professional solutions for communications and telecommunications, satellite subscriber equipment and other solutions.

Motorola Mobility will produce solutions, mobile phones, the development of Internet services and all issues related with this area.

Motorola says the company`s current shareholders will own new shares of both companies. According to representatives, yet the company`s portfolio contains a variety of solutions, and after separation shareholders will be able to choose the priority products and focus on them.

However, certain changes will occur in the new companies. So, Motorola intends to sell its division which produces network operator equipment by the end of this year.

Company Nokia Siemens is the buyer of this business sphere.
