ECONOMIC RECESSION IN ARMENIA - IRREVERSIBLE PROCESS
Informing AzerTAj correspondent, head of the foreign relations department of President Administration Novruz Mammadov said: “Usually, the Armenian politicians gather, look for a topic or question, and themselves responding it, and in this way, mislead the international community”.
At his words, last times there was disseminated information on opening of the Turkish-Armenian borders. Of course, to this end, numerous suggestions were made in the address of the Turkish officials. And the Armenians realize that the existing economic recession in Armenia is continuing for several years and state of the country worsens. And therefore, the only way of taking out of the crisis is opening of the borders with Turkey.
Mr. Novruz Mammadov expressed confidence that the leadership of Turkey, basing on the principles of its external policy, would not admit such a step. If Armenia wishes to restore links with Turkey, then it should remove the territorial claims against Turkey fixed in its Constitution, and the question of the so-called genocide.
Leadership of Turkey, observing the principle of “one nation, two states”, stated that settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorny Karabakh conflict would be of great significance in the cause of opening the boarders.
