EUROPEAN COMMISSION’S EXPERTS GROUP TO ARRIVE IN BAKU
Within the frameworks of preparation for TACIS’ program for 2004-2005, a European Commission’s expert group is expected to arrive in Baku on March 1, it was announced by Executive Director of the Coordination Bureau of the EU’s Technical Assistance to Azerbaijan Askar Alakbarov. He noted the delegation consisting of three experts would hold a number of meetings with leaderships of those Azerbaijan’s ministries and departments, which are directly involved in TACIS projects.
The head of the Coordination Bureau reminded that during recent meeting of TACIS’ national coordinator in Azerbaijan, Minister of Economic Development of the Republic Farhad Aliyev with EU officials in Brussels, the indicative program of TASIC actions with the budget of 30 million euro in 2004-2006 had been approved.
“The program of actions consists of the two 2-year indicative programs, the first of which (2004-2005) includes projects to be discussed in the course of the forthcoming visit,” Mt. Alakbarov added.
