European Union supports development of education in Azerbaijan
Baku, December 15 (AZERTAC). European Union is supporting the development of secondary and higher education in Azerbaijan, according to Mr. Roland Kobia, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan Republic.
“The education in fact is one of the EU’s current top priorities. The European Union supports development of secondary and higher education in Azerbaijan, though now we focus attention on higher education”, Mr. Kobia stated.
During his meetings with Misir Mardanov, Azeri minister of education and Samad Seyidov, MP, rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Mr. Kobia discussed a wide range of issues related to the realization of EU educational projects in Azerbaijan.
“We have two main targets in this sphere. The first is that we should as much as possible use such programs as Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, Twinning, etc. And secondly – we should usher a new suggestions”, according to Kobia.
Mr. Kobia said that realization of Tempus Programme focuses on the development of the higher education systems in Azerbaijan through cooperation with institutions from the EU Member States.
