EUROSTAT EXPERTS MEET WITH AZERI JOURNALISTS
Baku, June 19 (AZERTAC). The experts of the Statistical Office of the European Commission (Eurostat) met Friday with journalists at the Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee.
The meeting discussed Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee`s media relations on preparation, distribution of statistical information, as well as Committee`s professionalism and quality of its stats.
Eurostat`s Norwegian expert Jan Byfuglien said the aim of their visit is to assess the conformity of Azerbaijan`s official statistics with the European standards.
Austrian expert Peter Hackl praised Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee`s efforts to provide stats to the media.
Hackl also noted there are ample opportunities to improve the Committee website.
