First congress of Azerbaijanis living in Turkey due in Izmir
Baku, March 10 (AZERTAC). The first Congress of Azerbaijanis living in Turkey will be reportedly held in Izmir, Turkey on April 23-24, Head of the Izmir-Azerbaijan Culture Center Jamal Mehmetkhanoglu told press conference at Ataturk Center in Baku. The congress will contribute to the coordination and expansion of the Azerbaijan organizations in Turkey, according to Mehmetkhanoglu.
The main objective of the congress is to establish cooperation between joint Azerbaijan and Turkish organizations and promote Azerbaijani cultural heritage in Turkey.
A series of cultural events will be held prior to the congress.
