FIRST CONGRESS OF GEORGIAN AZERBAIJANIS HELD IN MARNEULI
Baku, May 15 (AZERTAC). On May 15, culture Center of Azerbaijanis and State Committee for Work with Diaspora Organizations of Azerbaijan co-organized the 1st Congress of the Azerbaijani Youth of Georgia. The event took place at Nariman Narimanov House of Culture in Marneuli, a small city in the Kvemo Kartli region of southern Georgia, bringing together over 300 delegates. Participants have discussed several issues related to the integration of Azerbaijani youth into the Georgian society, raising their role in the country`s life and setting up a Union of the Azerbaijani Youth of Georgia.
Deputies of the Milli Majlis Ganira Pashayeva, Sabir Hajiyev, Rauf Aliyev, representatives of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Organizations of Azerbaijan, Georgia’s officials attended the event.
As part of the visit to Georgia, deputies of the Milli Majlis will hold a number of meetings to study the problems of Azerbaijanis living in Georgia.
