FIRST GRADUATE ON NEW SPECIALTIES IN BAKU SLAVONIC UNIVERSITY
The first graduate on specialty of Greek studies and Russian studies has been held this year in the Baku Slavonic University. It should be reminded that after foundation of the Baku Slavonic University, new faculties, chairs and laboratories were opened there, the University started training on new specialties. The faculty of translation and regional studies appeared here along with philological, pedagogical faculties. Students learn Azerbaijani, Turkish, Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Bulgarian, Polish, Slav, Greek languages, literature, history, culture, international relationships and history of diplomacy of the above-mentioned countries. It is a tradition at the University to include outstanding scientists, public officials of the Republic into the membership of the State Examination Commission. This year, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vilayat Guliyev and Chairman of the State Committee for Azerbaijanis Abroad, Nazim Ibrahimov have become chairs of the Commission for translation and regional studies.
