FM OF AZERBAIJAN MEETS PRINCE OF THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN
Having informed, that the embassy of Azerbaijan in Jordan in the near future will be opened, minister E. Mammadyarov has expressed confidence that on forthcoming 33rd Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) member countries in June in Baku Jordan will be presented by top officials.
Having informed on economic development, macroeconomic parameters of Azerbaijan, E. Mammadyarov has emphasized the leading part of our country in projects carried out in region.
Prince El Hassan bin Talal has noted necessity of parallel development of economic branches, has shared the ideas on 33rd Conference of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OIC member countries. The visitor has stopped on value of development of civil society and private sector in the Muslim countries, has concerned importance of increase of the role of OIC.
Having agreed with opinions of the visitor, E. Mammadyarov has considered necessary expansion of activity of OIC and activation of the role of the Islamic states. Being the Muslim country, Azerbaijan is a secular state. It was noted, that during centuries in Azerbaijan Republic the Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities lived peacefully.
Also discussed were other questions representing mutual interest.
