FRENCH DEPUTIES REVERED KHOJALI TRAGEDY VICTIMS
The meeting was attended by Chairman of France-Azerbaijan friendship group of Senate Ambrose Dupon, employee of the continental European department of Foreign Affairs Ministry and representative of Co-chair of Minsk Group.
The Ambassador dwelt on misdeeds committed by Armenian armed subunits against Khojali residents, as well as historical roots and reasons of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, negotiations held for peaceful solution of this problem.
The Ambassador reminded on confident victory of Ilham Aliyev on the Presidential elections and first official visit as President to France.
The French deputies, in their turn, noted that visit of President Ilham Aliyev aroused deep resonance in the country, appreciated it as an important factor in further strengthening of friendly relations between the two peoples.
The sides also discussed prospects and forms of cooperation between the two countries.
In conclusion, Ambassador Huseynova answered to the deputies’ questions, expressed gratitude for warm reception and invited Chairman and members of France-Azerbaijan friendship group of the National Assembly to visit Azerbaijan.
