Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC), general-lieutenant of customs service Aydin Aliyev met with the delegation led by Director of the IMF Department on Middle East and Central Asia Vitaly Kramarenko, 17 April.

SCC Chairman updated the mission on current links between the International Monetary Fund and Azerbaijan Government as well as the State Customs Committee, noting that the customs bodies actively take part in assessment of financial policy and basic structural reforms in the country.

Aydin Aliyev said the customs bodies had fulfilled annual prognoses and in the first three months this year had transferred ANM 125 million 629 thousand to the state budget.

The Committee has prepared a new Customs Code, which, according to Aliyev, meets modern requirements. The country has joined many significant international conventions, he stressed.

Vitaly Kramarenko congratulated Aydin Aliyev for appointment as head of the Customs Committee of the Republic, expressing hope for further cooperation between Azerbaijan Customs Service and the structure he represents.
