ICT SECTOR – SECOND LARGEST TAXPAYER IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, January 4 (AZERTAC). According to Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technology Ali Abbasov, Information and Communication Technology sector is the second-largest taxpayer in the non-oil sector after construction. ICT sector has grown 33-35 % over the past five years with its economic potential increased 4.4 times.
In comparison with that in 2000, internet economy rose 20 times and number of internet users reached 1.5 mln.
