Gabala, August 6 (AZERTAC). The III Gabala International Music Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation ended here on August 5.

At the closing ceremony of the festival speaking was MP Fattah Heydarov, the art director of festival, the People`s Artist, the rector of Baku Musical Academy Farhad Badalbeyli. Underlining that within twenty three days in Gabale - one of the most picturesque corners of Azerbaijan, the present music holiday took place, and the participants have noted that this international festival became a friendship and culture holiday. They have expressed deep gratitude to the initiator of this grandiose musical event in Gabala, the president of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva.

In the frame of festival, also was organized an international competition of young pianists, master classes, concerts of chamber music and orchestras, evenings of classical music as well as mugham concerts. The speakers thanked figures of arts, world famous musicians from 20 countries of the world, the known masters of the arts of Azerbaijan who pleased the audience with successful, fine performances. They called the festival wonderful project and have especially stressed that the musicians who have arrived from the various countries have admired the local and foreign spectators. They have expressed confidence that this festival will give a new impulse to development of friendly relations and cooperation between the countries.

It was noted that the festival also became original demonstration of the nature of Azerbaijan, its hospitality, music. This grandiose event took place thanks to attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev, successor of the policy of great leader Heydar Aliyev, for culture, art and art workers. The policy pursued by the head of state, has promoted carrying out of such grandiose festival.

The festival has ended with the interesting concert program of the “Novoya Rossiya” State Symphonic Orchestra. At the concert, performing was the American violoncellist and conductor, the art director of festival Dmitry Yablonsky and known Russian pianist Boris Berezovsky. The musicians have performed symphonic poem “Prelude” by F. List and concerts for piano with orchestra.
