INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL UNDER AEGIS OF TURKSOY DUE IN TURKMENISTAN
Baku, September 20 (AZERTAC). Speaking at Х summit of heads of the Turkish speaking countries, taken place on September 16 in Istanbul, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov suggested holding in 2011 in Turkmenistan the international conference of the men of art and culture of the Turkish speaking states under the aegis of the international organization of Turkic culture -TURKSOY.
The Turkmen leader has supported establishment of fruitful humanitarian contacts, direct links and exchange of experience between leading centers of science and high schools of Turkish speaking countries.
“Joint scientific researches, introduction in production of the advanced, high technologies and inventions are worthy all-round support”, he told.
In the frame of the Summit, the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have agreed about creation of Fund of protection of the general cultural heritage of the Turks in Baku, about opening of a museum and library in Turkic Academy in Astana, about expansion of cooperation under the aegis of the interuniversity union, and also about joint celebrating next year the 20th anniversary of independence of the CIS Turkish speaking countries.
Leaders also have decided to mark October 3 as the Day of cooperation of the Turkish speaking states.
