Fifty foreign journalists, accredited in the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan, have established the Association of Foreign journalists in Tashkent. At the constituent conference, Itar-Tass Uzbekistan-based correspondent Velor Niyazmotov has been elected as the chairman of the Association.

In the interview with AZERTAG correspondent, Velor Niyazmatov said that the aim was to strengthen ties of foreign journalists with the governmental bodies of Uzbekistan, to get closer to the journalists from 30 world countries, obtain detailed information on different countries, hold meetings with foreign and local journalists, famous poets and writers etc.
