JV PRODUCE MORE GAS THAN IN 2002

From the beginning of the year, joint oil and gas companies of the country have produced 65165 thousand cu m of gas, that is more by 16,4 percent than during the same period of 2002.

The volumes of gas produced by Salyan Oil Operational Company are increasing rapidly, SOCAR reports. Compared to the last year, this company has produced “blue fuel” more by 25 percent. Another company, Shirvan Oil, produced more by 641 cu m than during 7 months of 2002 and exceeded the schedule by 17 percent. The Program of oil and gas production intensification explains success of this company.

The Company is aimed at rehabilitation, development of depleted fields by using up-to-date methods. A science-research group, consisting of local and foreign specialists, is working over the problem of search and practical realization of advanced technologies on production of residual reserves of hydrocarbons.
