Meeting with UK delegation held in Nakhchivan

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Jeyhun Jalilov, met with the UK Trade Envoy for Azerbaijan, Lord John Alderdice, and a delegation from Xlinks company.
The meeting highlighted the successful development of relations between the two countries based on strategic partnership, friendship and trust, thanks to the efforts of President Ilham Aliyev, as well as the long-term and beneficial activities of British companies in Azerbaijan.
They hailed the agreements reached within the framework of the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and noted that British companies have made significant contributions to the large-scale reconstruction work in the liberated territories.
They touched upon the renewable energy potential of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and its importance as a strategic region for establishing communications along the Middle Corridor. The prospects for cooperation in these areas, as well as in the implementation of the master plan for Nakhchivan city, and other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
