MEMO ON COOPERATION WITH AMERICAN “CORPS OF PEACE” SIGNED
Speaking of the goals of “Corps of Peace”, connected with education in the Republic, the Minister informed that on 11 December 27 volunteers of this Organization passed special trainings in the United States, would come to the Country, 24 of them would promote improvement teaching of English in the secondary compulsory schools in the cities and regions of the Republic, including in Sheki, Agdash, Jalilabad, Masalli, while three of them in the affiliates of the Azerbaijan Institute for Advance Teachers. The volunteers, who have to live for two years in the Azerbaijani families, will be set up every condition.
Head of the Azerbaijan representation of the Organization William Levine spoke of cooperation and informed that in summer 2004 in Azerbaijan would arrive another group of volunteers, comprising 30-45 people, whose number will reach 100.
Then, minister of education Misir Mardanbov and head of the Azerbaijan representation of the “Corps of Peace” Organization William Levine signed the memorandum on cooperation.
