MINISTER OF NATIONAL SECURITY MEETS INTERIOR MINISTER OF TURKEY
Minister Eldar Mahmudov said Azerbaijan attaches great importance to relations with Turkey, also informed on current stability and safety in the country, on the works done by the Ministry for combat against criminality, its numerous forms.
The Azeri Minister also spoke of the actions taken for neutralization of organized transnational criminal groups linked with the international terror structures. The Minister gave detailed information on criminal situation in region, motives and factors causing it, the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, uncontrolled zones in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, illegal migration, drug trafficking and the adequate measures taken in this direction. Eldar Mahmudov stressed necessity of strengthening of data and experience exchange, cooperation in combat against terrorism.
Expressing gratitude for hospitality and detailed information, Mr. Abdulkadir Aksu said he was deeply impressed with his visit to fraternal country.
The Turkish minister said such meetings are significant to determine prospects of cooperation links between appropriate bodies of two countries in combat against transnational crimes, including international terrorism.
Abdulkadir Aksu said the bilateral relations between fraternal countries would further develop.
In the meeting, also exchanged were views on a number of other questions of mutual interest.
