NOBEL HERITAGE FUND FOUNDED IN BAKU
According to him, the fund’s first 3 mln dollars worth project will be reconstruction of the historical residence of Nobel brothers “Villa Petrolea” in Baku
Dйcor and furniture of the early XX century will be recreated; in addition, a number of apartments of the ground floor are presupposed to be used as conference halls. The first floor will be allotted for holding business meetings and confidential negotiations.
Reconstruction works are planned to be over by 2005. Oil museum of Nobel brothers, Baku international oil club and Baku Nobel Heritage Fund will be located in “Villa Petrolea”.
Mr. Nobel noted the Fund would resume Ludwig Energy Nobel Prize giving - gold medal and money award - for scientists succeeded in oil and gas area. The last prize was given in 1905.
Parallel, Baku fund of Nobel heritage intends to organize in Baku the lectures of the Nobel Prize winners for young Azerbaijani scientists. The first lectures may be read in Baku, late 2004.
Mr. Nobel did not exclude the opportunities of conducting in Baku of the meetings of Nobel family members (425 men), who gather once a five-year.
