OSCE PA REPRESENTATIVES TRUST IN DEMOCRATIC AND TRANSPARENT REPEAT ELECTIONS IN AZERBAIJAN
Azerbaijan is keen in development of ties with the international organizations, including the OSCE and its structures, she said. ‘ We closely cooperate with the OSCE in establishment of civil society in the country, development of democracy, integration to Europe, resolution to the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other questions’.
Noting importance of such visits from the point of view of obtaining true information and development of bilateral relations, the Vice-Speaker of Milli Majlis gave detailed information on the forthcoming 13 May repeat elections to Milli Majlis, expressed confidence they will pass in fully democratic, transparent and fair atmosphere.
Head of the Portugal delegation at OSCE PA Joao Soares said he came to Azerbaijan for the second time and was admired by the positive changes in Baku during four years passed after his visit. There is dynamic progress in country, he stressed. ‘Though our mission is to observe the repeat elections, we consider that the visit will be important from the standpoint of development of the bilateral relations. We believe the repeat elections will also pass fair and transparent’, she said.
