PACE RAPPORTEUR VISITED BAKU
The guest viewed the sights of Baku, then, answered the questions of journalists.
Q. According to the information disseminated by the Armenian media, You allegedly said in Yerevan that the Armenian community of Nagorny Karabakh should also be involved in the negotiations. How does it correspond the reality and what do you think of it?
A. I would like to state: they said that they should take part in the negotiations. But I did not regard this idea. Simply, in my report I could refer to this question too. So, I reiterate that they merely ask about it that is they wish it.
Q. Why Europe, and the entire world do not want to recognize Khojali tragedy as an act of genocide? And these events happened in the eyes of all.
A. I think that we did not reject any genocide that happened where else. It is known that there were killed many people. Along with that, similar events happened in other countries as well. The truth is that were killed many Azerbaijanis, as well as Armenians. The major point is not to allow similar tragedies in future.
At the Alley of Martyrs, the PACE rapporteur was accompanied by Head of Azerbaijan parliamentary delegation to PACE, deputy Chairman and Bureau member Samad Seyidov.
