Russia-Azerbaijan business forum held in Makhachkala
Baku, November 26 (AZERTAC). The Russia-Azerbaijan business forum was held in Makhachkala with participation of representatives of both countries` agriculture, construction, industry, insurance, logistics companies.
Attending the Forum, Azerbaijan`s Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev pointed out Azerbaijan pays great attention to cooperation with Russia, adding that the two countries are ‘strategic partners’. He also stressed development of relations with Northern Caucasus region contributes to boosting trade-economic ties between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Mustafayev underlined sucessful activity of a number of Azerbaijani companies in the Northern Caucasus region of Russia. The Azerbaijan-Dagestan Comission on Economic and Humanitarian Cooperation was established to further economic ties.
The Azerbaijani Minister briefed the Forum participants on country`s economy, development of the non-oil sector, large-scale infrastructure projects. He noted Azerbaijan has favorable business climate, is rich in natural and energy resources, and is an ‘attractive country for foreign investors’.
Speaking in the event, President of Dagestan Magomedsalam Magomedov said Azerbaijan-Russia relations ‘are steady developing’ and highlighted importnace of the Forum towards strengthening economic ties.
