SAUDI ARABIA KEEN IN OIL COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN
In the meeting passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere, the Ambassador stressed the necessity of cooperation of the two countries in the oil field. The Ambassador also underlined the necessity of setting a joint expert group on coordination and co-op in the oil field basing on the relevant terms of protocol of the second sitting of intergovernmental joint commission of Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia held on 14-15 February current year.
Minister Ali Al-Naimi expressed his keenness in development of the relations with Azerbaijan, noting that he has participated at the 10th international conference-exhibition of “Khazar: oil, gas, oil processing and oil chemistry 2003” in Baku on 3-6 June 2003. He reminded his talk with the leadership of Azerbaijan, including with President Ilham Aliyev. Noting that these meetings were very useful, the Minister said that Saudi Arabia always paid great attention on cooperation with Azerbaijan in the oil field.
Also were discussed other issues of mutual interest in the oil field.
