SECOND ICT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM TO BE ADOPTED IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, January 4 (AZERTAC). A new State Program for ICT Development in Azerbaijan is expected to be adopted in 2009, according to Azerbaijani Minister of Communication and Information Technology Ali Abbasov. While the first program aimed at bring the country`s ICT to the average worldwide figure, the purpose of the second program is to elevate Azerbaijan to the level of developed countries in terms of ICT development. The program envisages development of the ICT economy including nanotechnologies, space industry and biotechnologies.
