SOCAR TO SHIP EIGHT BATCHES OF EXPORT OIL
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to ship from the port Supsa, Georgia eight batches of Azeri Lights oil in the framework of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field development project. So far, five batches have been shipped from Supsa: February and June batches to ‘Eni’ /Italy/, March - to Shell /UK-Holland/, May – to Glencore /Switzerland/, and August – to Vitol Broking /Switzerland/.
Three more batches of oil, according to SOCAR, will be shipped before the end of this year: the sixth one is planned to be shipped in late August, the seventh – in late November, and the eighth – in late December.
Profitable oil is distributed amongst the project’s contractors depending on their shares.
