SPAIN SHOWS KEEN INTEREST IN COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN
Minister Vilayat Guliyev higly appreciated political relations established between Azerbaijan and Spain, and expressed striving for their development in pother spheres as well, press-service of the Ministry told AzerTAj correspondent.
Afterwards, the Head of Azerbaijan’s main Foreign Relations Department provided the guest with detailed information on socio-political life in Azerbaijan, course of democratic reforms in the country, and the work being carried out for settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
State Secretary Ramon de Miguel stressed the significance his country attaches to strengthening and development of relations with Azerbaijan. Noting the great interest Spanish business circles show in Azerbaijan, he described development economic cooperation with the country as priority direction of interstate relationship. The State Secretary emphasized the necessity to open the two countries’ Embassies in Baku and Madrid for further development of bilateral relations.
During the meeting, the parties have also exchanged views on a number of other issues of mutual interest.
