Speaker of Azerbaijan`s Parliament attends Global Parliamentary Conference in Istanbul
Istanbul, June 20, AZERTAC
An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation led by Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova is attending the Global Parliamentary Conference headlined “Parliaments and the Global Compacts on Migration and Refugees: How to Bring About Stronger International Cooperation and National Implementation?” in Istanbul.
The event is co-organized by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
The event is attended by Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Turkey Rashad Mammadov, Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva, as well as representatives of IPU member countries.
The event will be followed by the opening of an exhibition on migration and refugees.
Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova will address the first session of the conference.
