STATEMENT
BY FOREIGN MINISTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN
The Minister draws attention to the fact that the suspect of murder, Azerbaijani serviceman Ramil Safarov is from the refugee family from the Jabrail region of Azerbaijan occupied by the Armenian aggressors. The occupant looted all the property of the family and several natives were killed. On the provided information, the Armenian serviceman several times made mockery and humiliating statements in the address of Ramil Safarov, harassing honor and dignity of the officer and citizen of Azerbaijan Republic and insulting memory of the victims of the Armenian aggressions. All these cannot but have emotional impact on Ramil Safarov.
The Azerbaijani side calls on the Armenian side to refrain from accusing statements and assessment in the address of the Azerbaijani state and people. It should not be admitted that the incidence in Budapest became catalyst for deepening the complicated relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This incidence once more witnesses on the tense situation in connection with the unsolved conflict and reaffirms necessity of activation of the efforts of the world community for its resolution on the base of principles of international law. Only in this way, it can be removed the enmity between the two peoples and reach peace and good neighborhood.
