TOTAL VOLUME OF TRADES IN FEBRUARY AT BICEX – 409 BILLION MANAT
According to BICEX’s PR office, International Bank of Azerbaijan, commercial banks “Amrahbank” , “Technika Bank”, Commercial Joint-Stock Bank ”Republic” and “Rabitabank has become the leaders of the currency market depending on their share of closed deals in the total volume of trades.
Altogether, 29 banks participated in the trades for US dollar for February 2004. For the last month, 20 trade sessions were conducted and 208 deals were closed. The volume of dollar trades has totaled 409 billion 115 million manat or USD 82,873 million. It is by 29,13 percent higher than in January and by 7,5 percent higher than that in February 2003.USD 70,423 million or 85 percent out of the total volume of January deals falls to the share of the BEST. The weighted rate of AZM against USD made up 4936,65 in February against the January rate of 4928,48. The volume of deals on RUR in the BEST has totaled 193 million manat in February.
