Turkish Anadolu News Agency`s Director General meets Azerbaijani journalists

Ankara, July 19 (AZERTAC). Director General of the Turkish Anadolu News Agency, Hilmi Bengi has met here a group of journalists working in the regional press of Azerbaijan.

Bengi said the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency (AZERTAC) played an important role in the history of Azerbaijan`s independence, as the Anadolu Agency did in Ankara during the years of national struggle of the country. He added at present, AZERTAC and Anadolu had close cooperation.

Bengi underlined the role of media in strengthening relationship between the two countries and also the importance of reciprocal visits of representatives of regional press in Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The Director General also briefed the Azerbaijani media representatives on the workings of the Anadolu Agency.

The Azerbaijani journalists also had meetings in the Directorate General of Press and Information of the Office of the Turkish Prime Minister.
