TURKISH PLANE CRASH KILLS ALL 56 PEOPLE ON BOARD
A passenger plane crashed in the early hours on Friday in the south-west of Turkey killing all 56 people on board, including 49 passengers and 7 crew members.
Tuncay Doganer, chief executive of the Atlasjet airline, said the plane took off at 00.51 from Istanbul for Isparta, and contact with it was lost at 01.36.
Investigations are continuing to establish the cause of the accident.
