Turksoy Culture Ministers come together in Astana

Astana, September 20 (AZERTAC). The 29th meeting of Standing Council of Ministers of Culture TURKSOY has today started in Kazakhstan`s capital Astana.

TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kaseinov, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ertugrul Gunay, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev, Minister of Culture, TV and Radiobroadcasting of Turkmenistan Gulmyrat Myradov, Minister of Culture of the Kazakhstan Mukhtar Kul-Muhammed and others are attending the session.

Welcoming the meeting participants the Kazakh Minister underlined the role of organization of various festivals to expand cooperation among Turkic speaking countries. According to him, such projects as Operalia, theater festival of Central Asian region as well as Eurasian film festivals bring Turkish nations together.

During the session, Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey Ertugrul Gunay was elected as Interim Coordinator of the Organization.

Debates on deepening relations in cultural-humanitarian spheres will be held and TURKSOY Secretary General for 2011-2014 will be reelected during the sessions.
