On the same day, parliamentary delegation of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine visited the Slavonic University in Baku. The guests familiarized with the activity of the Ukrainian Cultural Center functioning in the University. Vocal group of the students of the Ukrainian language and literature department of BSU performed national songs of Ukraine.

Rector of the University, professor Kamal Abdullayev greeted the guests, called this meeting as another token of the eternal friendship between the peoples of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. He also updated the guests on the structure and activity of the University he leads.

Chairman of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, doctor of historical sciences, and academician of the Ukraine Academy of Sciences Vladimir Litvin stressed the necessity of exchange of students between the two countries, saying that he would request his Government to open a Ukrainian Gymnasium in Azerbaijan.

Then, Chairman of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin met with representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora in Azerbaijan.

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Talat Aliyev, of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Boris Aleksenko took part at the meeting.
