UNECE HOLDS SEMINAR ON “SINGLE WINDOW” PRINCIPLE IN BAKU
Baku, July 10 (AZERTAC). A seminar on “single window” principle and business-process started in Baku, press-service of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC) said.
The event was organized by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and Asian Development Bank (ADB). Participants of the international seminar, who took part in the seminar on studying Azerbaijan`s model in applying “single window” system within Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program also joined this event.
Deputy Chairman of SCC Askar Abdullayev told of the economic reforms being implemented in the country. He said realization of the “single window” system in Azerbaijan is an important instrument for support of the trade in the country. Mr. Abdullayev said the seminar is an important in the view of business management, commerce and transition to e-trade. Representative of ESCAP Yan Duval said “single window” system and business-process are important factors for customs services every country and this seminar will make a great contribution to these fields.
Representative of ADB Jeff Prosak called on participants to take an active part in discussions. The participants delivered reports on analysis and modeling of the business projects.
