Uzeir Hajibeyli`s memory honored in Budapest

Budapest, September 19 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan Embassy to Hungary organized a concert to mark the 126th birthday of the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeir Hajibeyli in Budapest.

The concert took place on the Day of National Music of Azerbaijan, being celebrated annually on September 18, and featured Danube Symphony Orchestra and Azerbaijani musicians performing Azeri and Hungarian music.

Addressing the audience prior to the concert, ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary Vilayat Guliyev spoke about the rich musical heritage of Uzeir Hajibeyli, his great contribution to the Azerbaijan culture and the Day of National Music in Azerbaijan.

Members of the staff of Azerbaijan embassy, general public, representatives of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in Hungary attended the concert.
