VISIT OF AMERICAN MEDIA EXPERT TO AZERBAIJAN ENDING
As was informed, the 5-day visit of the popular on-air commentator for CNN and NBC on issues of media and political communications, Dr. Gregory Payne to the Republic was organized in the frame of US Department of State program “Speakers” to conduct working seminars on the topic of media ethics and role of press in the course of elections in the US.
It was especially unforgettable the meting of Mr. Payne with the tutors and students of the “Khazar” University, where the guest delivered a lecture on the topic “Policy and mass media”. The expert spoke of situations in the field of freedom of speech in the US and impact of the media organs to the internal and external policy of the American government. Then, the expert had a comprehensive conversation with the students.
In the course of the visit, the American expert also met representatives of the Azerbaijan press and electronic media, held a meeting with staff members of the public bodies.
