VISIT OF MICHAEL OF KENT TO AZERBAIJAN CONTINUES
On 17 February, Prince Michael of Kent met the minister of economic development of Azerbaijan Mr. Farhad Aliyev.
Greeting the guest, the Minister expressed a hope that visit of the high guest would promote much more development of the Azerbaijani-British cooperation. Speaking of the economic situation and the reforms conducted in Azerbaijan, Mr. Farhad Aliyev noted that beginning from 1995 under the guidance of the national leader of Azerbaijan, President Heydar Aliyev were successfully realized the policy to recover the economy, and in all spheres were conducted reforms.
As a result, it became possible that Azerbaijan along the latest years holds the first place on foreign investments among the former USSR space and Eastern Europe. Realized are multi-billion energy projects involved by tens of foreign countries.
Expressing his gratitude for warm reception, Prince Michael noted that t his is his first visit to Baku and he is keen in cooperation of the “Genesis Imitative” organization with the state and private companies of Azerbaijan.
Finally, Minister Farhad Aliyev present the high guest a picture with panorama of Baku, as well as gave to the members of delegation a CD with the information on the major economic indices of Azerbaijan.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Great Britain Rafael Ibrahimov, Ambassador of Greta Britain to Azerbaijan Lawrence Bristow attended the meeting.
