VNESHTORGBANK PLANS “EXPANSION” INTO NEAR AND FAR ABROAD
Senior vice-president said that Vneshtorgbank had already opened its branches abroad and keeps on working this way in neighboring countries.
Vneshtorgbank is currently one of active partners of the International Bank “Azerbaijan-Moscow”.
According to chairman of the Board of the International Bank Azerbaijan-Moscow /IBA-Moscow/ Fuad Abdullayev, IBA-Moscow has traditional ties with Vneshtorgbank of Russia cause International Bank of Azerbaijan is a successor of Vneshtorgbank of Azerbaijan while Vneshtorgbank - successor of Vneshtorgbank of Russia. Both banks are originally oriented towards export-import operations. IBA-Moscow had close relationship with Vneshtorgbank through interbank transactions. Today, the banks are closely coordinate towards payments between enterprises of Russia and Azerbaijan. IBA-Moscow carries out documentary transactions through Vneshtorgbank. “A very effective cooperation was established in organization of natural persons’ remittance from Russia to Azerbaijan”. In particular, the banks signed an agreement “On organization of natural persons’ remittance through branches and extra offices of Vneshtorgbank”
Commenting on the possibility of opening of Vneshtorgbank’s subsidiary in Azerbaijan Fuad Abdullayev stated that it is not a matter of the near future.
