Week of science and culture of Azerbaijan in Germany ends
Berlin, December 4 (AZERTAC). Week of Science and Culture of Azerbaijan in Germany ended in Berlin.
The program of Week was rich, and the key event was setting up at the well-known Humboldt University of Berlin of the “History of Azerbaijan” chair under the direction of Prof. Eva Maria Aukh.
As earlier reported, on November 29 the opening ceremony of Week took place in the well-known concert hall Konzerthaus Berlin, located in a historical part of German capital, on the Gendarmenmarkt square. After the official part the concert of a chamber orchestra “Berlin Classic Players”, directed by the national actor of Azerbaijan Yalchyn Adygezalov and German maestro Ulrich Riehle took place. Next day, on November 30 at Humboldt University an international scientific conference “History of Azerbaijan in the international researches - current state and prospects”, was held, and in the evening the same day creative evening and presentation of works of Azerbaijani artist Ashraf Heybatov took place. On December 1, here, at Humboldt University, the “Day of the Azerbaijan and German high schools” forum was held. A photo-exhibition opening under the name “Azerbaijan - things in common of different cultures” devoted to Icherisheher (Inner City) and the cultural heritage of the Caucasian Albania took place in the evening.
On the last day, the Week participants saw a concert with participation of the winner of jazz festival in Monteux Ifsar Sarabsky. The concert passed with support of the "Europe-Azerbaijan" Society.
It has to be noted that the Week of science and culture of Azerbaijan in Germany had tremendous success. In the actions organized in the framework of the Week, members of the government, scientists and art workers from Azerbaijan, and also Azerbaijani students trained in German high schools and representatives of Diaspora took active part.
