Deputy foreign minister of the Azerbaijan Republic Vagif Sadigov held a news conference dedicated to conclusions of the 33rd session of the Islamic Conference Foreign ministers held in Baku on 19-21 June.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev initiated the Baku session attended by representatives from 57 member countries of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, Vagif Sadigov said.

According to number of the participants, the action was the largest one ever since arranged in the country after regaining independence. Overall 98 delegations, including 588 diplomats, 80 journalists and other people of subordinate fields took part at the session. In wholes, about 1000 people took part at event.

It was for the first time in the former soviet space that a session of the OIC foreign ministers was held. The action was of great importance to bring the Azerbaijan realities to notice of the world community.

The session has adopted some 100 resolutions. The Baku Declaration covered the most notable developments of world, in particular, concerning the Islamic world.
