600 THOUSAND JOBS TO BE OPENED WITHIN THE NEXT 5 YEARS

Along with social development of provinces and entrepreneurship, the related State program envisaged for 2004-2008 will ensure opening of new jobs, Milli Majlis chairman Murtuz Alaskarov said in response to some deputies’ related remarks. According to the forecasts, the share of non-state sector in the gross domestic product will reach 85 percent in 2008. Growth rate of agriculture will average 10-15 percent while the real growth of agricultural production will make 62,5 percent within next 5 years.

In total, 600 thousand jobs will be opened within the next 5 years and average salary will increase 3,1-fold. These figures once more prove that President Ilham Aliyev pays a special attention to socio-economic development of provinces, opening of new jobs and improvement of the people’s living standards.
