AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL LIBRARY AFTER AKHUNDOV TO BECOME EEL MEMBER
Azerbaijan National Library after M.F. Akhundov will become a member of the European Electronic Library (EEL).
According to director of the Azerbaijan National Library Karim Tahirov, along with the Azerbaijani library, at EEL`s meeting in the Netherlands to be held tomorrow, national libraries of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova will also be given membership.
Beginning from April 1, virtual readers will have an opportunity to access Azerbaijan-related information through the European Electronic Library.
Till 2012, the Azerbaijan National Library`s membership fee will be paid by the Swiss Development Agency.
The European Electronic Library currently has 27 member countries.
