AGRI announces tender for project’s feasibility study

Baku, December 6 (AZERTAC). SC AGRI LNG Project Company SRL (AGRI) announced a tender for proposals related to the preparation of the feasibility study, the scope of which is to assess the technical, financial and economical viability of Azerbaijan - Georgia - Romania - Hungary Interconnector energy cooperation project, says statement of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) on Monday.

AGRI Company invited all the companies having necessary experience and capability to carry out the feasibility study to submit their Proposals by January 19, 2012. The terms of the tender are available at the following link.

The Shareholders of AGRI are SOCAR, Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, MVM from Hungary and Romanian "Romgaz". The Chairman of the AGRI Company Board of Directors is SOCAR Deputy Vice-President Vitaliy Baylarbayev.

Azerbaijan-Georgia-Romania Interconnector (AGRI) project based on the Azerbaijani liquefied gas supplies through the Black Sea coast of Georgia to Romania.

The AGRI project envisages transporting Azerbaijani gas via pipelines to the Black Sea coast of Georgia, where the gas will be liquefied at a special terminal. The gas will then be delivered to a terminal at the Romanian port of Constanta via tankers.
