Alexander-Arnold decides to sign for Real Madrid -report

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has decided to sign for Real Madrid when his contract with the British club expires in the summer of 2025, according to a report published today on MARCA. Alexander-Arnold has even informed his current club of his decision, which means that Liverpool’s efforts to extend his contract will likely go to waste, per that same report. Real Madrid are optimistic and believe that Alexander-Arnold has indeed chosen to become a madridista, club sources told Managing Madrid.
Alexander-Arnold would be a tremendous signing for Real Madrid. He’s still 26 years old and Los Blancos need an established player for the right-back spot after Dani Carvajal’s devastating knee injury.
Liverpool are not considering Alexander-Arnold’s departure during the winter transfer window, even if that means losing the player as a free agent. Still, Real Madrid will keep waiting to see if Liverpool’s owners change their minds.
While Liverpool could very well send Alexander-Arnold a new, lucrative offer to extend his contract, the player has apparently made his decision and is set to become a madridista next summer.
